With the release of my new book, Adult Halloween: Taking Back the Season! I find myself in the mood for all things spooky, so I started setting up my home early so I can watch horror movies in the right atmosphere.
I just had to do an homage to a classic, "The Birds."

I love this nook - it's all about baby dolls and candles -

One of the fun things about Halloween decorating is making up little settings for each obsession. I have considered doing a year-round focus wall in my home of doll island and anchor clothesline across the wall on different levels and drape aged old dolls along it to make a really creepy year-round statement. The dolls could be moved outdoors for a Doll Island Yard Haunt and another season to age them in the elements.
I hope my book has given readers plenty of ideas for the season and how to make it their own. There is nothing better than watching horror movies with glowing lights in a creepy setting. It takes scary movie watching to a gothic level!
